What the presenters say:

This year was the first to feature a Sunday music series in downtown Raleigh’s newly restored Meymandi Theatre at the Murphey School. The ELM Collective was the opening show of the season and clearly set the tone and standard for all the other acts to follow. Alive with energy and emotion, this talented group of deeply-skilled musicians captivated the crowd with two incredible sets of international jazz. The unique blending of instrumentation within their original compositions filled the theatre with a beautiful harmony that still resonates in the rafters today. It is only fitting that the ELM Collective will be closing out the series season, by returning for the year’s final show. And we hope they’ll continue to impress and entertain us for years to come.
